High pitched squeal from engine area

Good day all.
My ‘18ES emits a high pitched “squeal”? from the engine when the key is turned on and remains until the key is switched off. Sounds like the upper end of a hearing test. The previous owner did add aftermarket LED headlights, but the sound gets louder lower down in the engine area so that shouldn’t be the source. I can take a video but thought I’d just ask if it’s normal or known issue. Owned plenty of bikes, never heard this.

If you were to describe the sound as a high pitched whine, then my 2016 does the same. It's probably fuel pump related. If you've ever been around CNC machines it sounds like an axis servo holding position. My headlights are stock, not LED. I had LED lights on my vstrom and you could hear the fans on those but only once they had warmed up.

Edit: I think it may be the drive by wire throttle body. That has a servo in it.

You are correct Sir, a better description is a high pitch whine. The sound is new to me and I wanted to be sure it wasn’t an issue. My LED headlights came with the bike and do not feature fans, only useless cooling fins once the headlight caps are in place. After they die I’ll upgrade, but for now they work quite well.

I believe this has been brought up before.
My 2014 makes the same faint sound when the key is "ON".
I also believe it to be coming from the drive-by-wire throttle servo.

Thanks for the replies all; I did perform a quick search before posting. Hopefully this thread will make someone else’s search more successful. First time I turned on the ignition I noticed the sound, but as stated thought it might be from aftermarket LED lamps.
I agree it’s likely the throttle solenoid as it seems to come from the intake area.
I wonder if manipulating the throttle would change the pitch and confirm the source.
Anyway, I guess it’s okay if they all do it, lol
