Don't know if this is normal with having only the right light go to high with the high beam switch on, or are they both to change?

Thanks

Yes, both go high. Is one light aimed lower than it should be? I honestly don't know if there are two shutters in there. Someone will have taken theirs apart to see what makes the system tick. I kinda thought it was one shutter across both fixtures, but thinking about it now it should be two. Was anything done to the bike just before you noticed? Harness recall perhaps?
Yours would be the first failure.

what all the guys above have stated...
and:

it's an H7 bulb, single filament, that's basically on high beam so to speak. When the shutter is down, it cuts the high beam down to low beam, effectively blocking half the light. High beam switch activates the shutter, and opens to show the full high beam light.

I know they have a shutter system but looking at the Yamaha headlight OEM parts schematic, I don't see any shutter system.. :-[
Must be an integral part, not serviceable separately. ::007::

When the recall was done before new bike delivery, they forgot to plug in the left high beam wire.
