Hi all...I haven't actually pulled the trigger as of yet, but am trying to do my due diligence on "the bike" and thought this would be a good place to listen in. I currently own a KTM 950 and others, but really want to get out from underneath the rigid maintenance requirements for that bike. Its fun to ride but....

Nice to see such an active forum and hope to be able to say I am an owner soon. Bummer about the waiting period. Was anybody able to get any price negotiation from the dealers they have ordered from?

Regards,

Whizzer

Hello and welcome to the group. I too have a KTM 950, mine is the SM. Great bike but the maintenance on the XT12 is gonna be a dream compared to the KTM. Welcome to the group.

Quizzed,

Welcome to our little slice of paradise!

It took me three tries, but I did finally find a dealer that would deal on the price of the bike. Both local guys were asking MSRP with tacking on $99.00 on top of that! So deals can be had. If you do not mind a fly n ride, a guy in Texas is quoting $12,499.00 OTD if I remember correctly. Good luck in finding a deal that makes you happy!

welcome whizzer, you are going to be amazed at the maintenance free aspect of owning a japanese bike. Ride more often for sure with the 24k valve check intervals!!!

Thanks to all for the replies.....I don't see a way to multiquote, and i'm pretty lo-tech when it comes to this type of stuff.

I live in Wilmot, the Lake Sunapee area...about 50 minutes from Plymouth. I ride thru Plymouth all the time.

My dealership is offering the new Super Tenere for $12,499 on the Yamaha Priority Delivery Program. This is an all-inclusive price unless you live in Texas and you would then have taxes and registration fees. I will have these on our website shortly.

I sold a considerable amount of FJR's during the same type of program so we are definitely well known.
If I can help any of you let me know via personal e-mail (listed below) and I will take care of those personally.

Keep in mind this program ends March 31, 2011!

Thanks,

Tony

Welcome....I just pulled the trigger. My dealer sold me the bike for $12,900...and took my bike on trade....of course, I went in on a day when the temp was 30 degrees with snow forecast for the next day....me, 50 new bikes sitting on the floor and two salesmen. Best time to buy a bike.

NH...your riding season is short...but what great places to ride!
