Hey Yukon guys...

Hey Yukon guys,
I have a question for you. I and two of my riding buddies are planning an adventure this summer to the Yukon, NW Territories and Alaska. I will be riding my Tenere all the way, but the two guys I’m riding with will be trailering their KLR’s. We would like to make Whitehorse our jumping off point for their ride.
I would have loved to make the Tenere Gathering in early July, but scheduling would not allow that. So we plan on getting to Whitehorse around July the 25th.
Now for the question – would any of you know a place we could store the tow vehicle and trailer for a couple of weeks while we tool around the great north? I’m sure Colorider can vouch for us. ::015::

I don't have space in my yard or I would offer. Yukon Yamaha has a lot of unused space behind their shop and if you used them for any service and/or offered them something I am sure they would oblige. Jason is very generous and if you are doing any business with him he is even more so. If not, there are several storage yards that would keep your rig locked up and safe for a fee. Rem has a pretty big yard, but I don't want to offer for him .

what are your riding plans?

I'm sure I have room for you at my place. Your stuff will be safe here. We're out of town but have never had any problems, and I am alarmed OUTSIDE. Rem, I'll be in touch.
Top of the list is to ride out of Whitehorse and do the Canol Road, Campbell Highway, the Dempster and Dalton, if at all possible.
In addition, we'll try and see Haines and Skagway and whatever else we can get in in the 2 - 3 weeks we have allotted.

The plan as of now is to go through Edmonton, but I don't know if you want to put up the 3 of us for the night.

I have a good sized house with a spare room or two with a very large fenced yard, and a very understanding wife. You would be in the safest place in Canada - i have two big german shepherds, and the house is on one of our larger bases in the country housing one of our three combat brigades....which I will be commanding by then! I will be visiting an exercise in Hawaii from 20-24 July, but am otherwise available to host - and if you arrive while I am gone, the backyard is still available - my next door neighbour is my riding buddy. Just let me know.
