I was riding my new to me s10 and stopped for a milk shake at dilly's. Rt32 and 563 in pa; when all of a sudden a black st10 comes driving by, sees my bike amd pulls into the parking lot. He was from New Jersey riding with several crotch rocket friends. We chatted for a few minutes and his friends were getting ansy, so he pulled out, good to see another raven on the road near me.

I think we're going to have to have a northeast gathering of Teneres in the future ;D 8)

ahh.....well....but.... the subject really didn't come up.... Next Time for sure. ::) I think we need to make something like a business card to hand out with the forum website name on it so we can plop them on the windshield even if the bike is parked and the rider isn't around.
I have done that as a member of another forum that was somewhat exclusive to BMW riders and worked out really well.
It was a Cruiser forum of BMW Riders, of course what self respecting BMW rider would ride a cruiser. ???

Same thing happened to me today as well!!

I was westbound on I-80 just outside of Sacramento, CA. The other Tenere was eastbound on I-80. We both saw each other and waved. Very cool!!!!!!!!

The Jersey guy you met at the ice cream stop was George.

I've sent him the link to the thread.
We need to get together. Seems there are at least 6 of us in the Jersey / Philly area.

Sweet, thanks. I didn't even get his name. He said he saw a blue one riding around as well.

Yea, it was me ;D

I had already seen another one earlier on, a blue one but the guy told me he's not on ADV and doesn't usually visit forums

Yes, we have to organize a gathering of the Tenere's, I suggest the Van Sant Airport in PA, there's a long road with nothing in the background but the grass runway ;D perfect for lining them up and get a nice picture ;D

Let's put together a date

George

I know van sant well. When I met you, I was coming back from there and riding some of the backroads. It's kind of like my backyard.

Martin is also in new jersey, he has a blue one. I'm sure he'll be there.

That would sound good. We need a regional section to post up on or something. I was just at Van Saint this past Sunday and there was no one there. I got there around 12 and no bikes. I was shock to see no bikes, it was a nice day to ride.

I was on the way to the airport when I saw Koinz :) on Saturday.

I got there with my buddies and about 10 Harley's were leaving (I think they got scared of the Tenere ;D) then it was just us, 1 tenere, 2 BMW's and 3 Triumph's :)
I too, was surprised no other bikes were there ::)

Typically, a lot of bikes show up earlier in the morning, by the afternoon everyone is out riding. It's a good showing of all kinds of bikes, trikes, choppers and classic triumph and bmw's.
Who needs a bike show.

A lot of bikes also meet up at the brass ring diner, near hopewell, nj.

That's where we came from, we had lunch at the Brass Ring Cafe and then were headed to the airport when we passed you ;D

By the way, I saw the other guy with the blue one near the Brass Ring and waved at him to go there, he did and we chatted, he said a lot of bad things about his previous bike, a BMW GS ;D ;D

Well this Saturday looks like great weather for a ride. :)

I usually ride south and/or west, but could ride up to that area. Never been to Van Sant but hear people talk about it all the time.

here is the website for van sant airport.

http://vansantairport.com/

There's some decent riding in the area, but there are several bridges out from past storms, so there a few detours.

Superten - I'll be out riding but in the Phoenixville area visiting some friends - Martin will be there too. I don't know when I'll be back in the area. I'll probably be out riding Sunday as well, weather permitting.

This will be the toughest part about a gathering. Getting everyone in sync on a date.

Ok, maybe at another date. The weekend of the 20th and 27th I can't do it either, will be on vacation with the family ;)
