My educated guess would be that he installed that speedo/tach from another bike.

I lost my huge desire for a sports car or a hot rod years ago. The number one reason is traffic, and the other is road condition. I don't need/want 400hp to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic avoiding potholes. Which is why I have a Jeep and a Tenere.

My neighbor used to bring home top end exotics as rentals for weekends.... He would always ask if I wanted to drive them. Heck no, I don't wanna be responsible for it on public roads, Id reply. But, I always told him if he wanted to bring it to a track day with me, I'd rip on them. He never would and always chose to fart around on public roads with them. Always seemed like such a waste of car and $$$.
