Hey there my fellow ST Riders!

OK, So I'm putting on the Rox H/B Risers and new clutch/brake lines.

I can't get the clutch lever to come back up. I checked the bolt connection at the master cylinder and soft/hard line interface are tight. I'm bleeding in accordance to the manual.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Not 100% sure, but sometimes the rubber bush may turn inside out if completely dry of fluid, you may have t open the master cylinder and take out the plunger and re-insert, just a thought, as it's not 'pressurizing'...

Just a thought. Without the slave cyl spring helping out with returning the lever, (with a pressurized sys) there is little pressure to return the lever.
Have you removed the lever and cleaned and re-greased all the joints to make sure it moves freely?

So what I did, after putting the new extended clutch line on... I flicked the line with my finger to get the fluid the drain down into the line. This also helps the air bubbles rise out of the line by breaking the surface tension trapping them in the line. Once bubbles stop coming out by flicking the line I'll start flicking the clutch handle. Once I see no more bubbles, I'll start doing a full draw on on the clutch handle. Takes about 10-15 mins to bleed this way.

One thing to consider, if you're putting the two wheels (knock off chinese) levers on... I had to set my clutch lever on "6" which is the maximum stroke adjustment to get pressure. Check that as well.

If all else fails, fill up the reservoir and leave it sit overnight to help gravity bleed it. You should not need to bleed the slave cylinder unless it's been replaced.

Thanks for the advice guys!!!

I ordered a mity vac..getting it Friday.

The bike only has 1500 miles so the rubber is in good condition.

Tomorrow, will try to open the nipple and let gravity do its job as Defekticon suggested.

I will keep you posted as the week goes on and I have the time to work on it........stay tuned!

Another thing to try is pull the lever in and loosen that Banjo bolt at the master cylinder then close it release the lever and try that.
I was told some air can get trapped in the banjo.
It worked for me but make sure you put a rag under it so you don't spill fluid on the tank.
