cracked upper stay (what everythign else is attached too - Yamaha 23P-28356-01-00 - STAY | Partzilla.com (same part for both first and second gen)

had the same happen to me its fiber reinforced plastic. i used a healthy amount of epoxy to fix it for now but have little doubt ill eventually need to replace the whole thing at some point.

mine had cracked here you could only see the crack if you pulled if foreward and looked at it just right.

Prop up the front of your bike and see if there’s any play in the headset bearings. Grab the lower forks and see if there’s any back and forth movement.

well there you go ... it has to be the stay upfront . that piece (I assume the stay is the major plastic frame that holds the headlights upper fairings and windshield and other pieces to the bike) is not all that expensive , but everything attaches to it so probably a major pain to replace ... good luck .

Does the windshield move/shake. Typical with broken stay (from experience)

Hi thanks All, problem solved

After removing everything on the front to get to the stay and checking if its broken.. found that its in good shape, so i did some testing with the stay shaking it alone while its fixed to the bike. And it is the number 26 bolt ( refer to the picture i attached before ) thats doing the noise, it was tightened enough but i had to add a little plastic below it so its fixed better

Pictures attached.

Thanks again for the help

It is always really nice when one does some investigative searching, finds the problem and corrects it without having to spend any money....
