Hello, what are these things?

Hi, just picked up a 2016 S10. Found these things in the top case. I can't for the life of me figure out what they are for or where they came from. Any help is appreciated.

Maybe YAMAHA’s idea of a crash bar.

Does yours have aftermarket crash bars on it?

Yeah it has aftermarket crash bars. There's two of those plastic things the PO labeled left and right. They seem like OEM stuff but I looked at a bunch of pictures of stock bikes and can't figure it out.

I’m new to the game but that would be my guess.

Under the fairing where the new bars mount is where these pieces are used. They are kinda hard to see because they fit close to the bottom edge.

First, welcome aboard. Those are the OEM crash bars. Yamaha calls them protectors. Most of us have a set of those laying around our garages somewhere.
