Hi all-

I've recently gotten back into motorcycling after selling my last BMW 3 years ago for a boat--and I'm really enjoying it (much more than before and I don't really understand why).

After coming off 3 BMW sport-touring motorcycles, I thought I'd give an adventure bike a chance since I live in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I'm quite enjoying the big S10 (though I'm having the stalling at low idle problem--does anyone know if this is covered under warranty?).

I've never historically ridden with other riders, but as I get older I find I'd quite enjoy finding people to ride with.

I've lived and worked on 4 continents in the last 14 years or so and would consider myself a rugged independent (who happens to be married, loves his kids, and works in public education!)--not sure if that's a contradiction.

Anyhow, if you're up for a ride, please PM me--I'm really curious to find different rides and do it with different folks--both road and Dual Sport.

Hi all-

Thanks for the welcome. Velvet are you on the ADV rider site? If so, I've added my house there on the tent site map--it would be awesome to meet you.

Silvergoose-I definitely feel like I'm a jack of all trades, master of none--my traveling only added to this breadth, as leaving every two years or so prevents going deeper--though traveling does also add depth in a way to our character and our ability to have an open mind.

Thanks snuffcityrider--I'm enjoying the Tenere more and more. Today I had an interesting experience--I actually preferred "T" mode to "S" mode--found the power delivery more consistent and polite. Matched the mood of the day I guess.

Welcome MatBaugh,
I'm heading up to Vermont 9/8-9/11 for the Green Mountain Rally. Thats sponsored by the local MOV BMW group. Maybe see you up that way.

Hey Koinz-
I couldn't decide whether or not to go to that or to the CroMag rally--chose the CroMag rally for no good reason. That would be great! I'd love to go to both the rallies, but I'm pretty sure the wifester would not abide.
If you get north of the rally let me know--perhaps I could come down and join a ride one of the days.
