Just pickup my 2012 ST. Figured it is time to quit lurking and say hi.
I am one of those born again bike riders. First bike was a 68 Bultaco Matador just to give ya an idea of
my time frame. Rode dirt bikes and street bikes until I turned 30 and got married and kids, what a distraction.
Anyway got back into dirt bikes about 5 years ago along with a little dabble into adv. riding on 06 Husky te 610.
Since about last year I've been wanting to get back on the street along with more adv riding. I've spent a lot internet time scoping out the right bike. I have found it.

I was going to wait till spring to make the move but couldn't take it anymore, so called around to find a fair deal and
found one in Sacramento. That was the easy part, now I have to explain to the wife the shiny new bike in the garage. I need to take it out an get it dirty before she sees it.

Finally I would like to say thanks to all you that take the time to post up info. It has helped out quite a bit.
Did some reseach last night to figure out what skid plate to go with, and order a Rumbux this morning.

Well that it for now, anybody that in the area or passing thru lets ride.

Welcome from Ontario. You made the right choice with the Rumbux skid plate. I have the Altrider and the brackets need to be re welded.

Yeah, but when Limey drops his bike, he then stomps on it for a few minutes, smiling all the while. ::025:: ::025:: ::014:: ::012::

I know what you mean about not being able to wait til spring. I went for a test ride a couple weeks ago and I was hooked. I pick up mine tomorrow...Springtime was just too long to wait. Congrats! ::012::

I've been looking for a reason to explore the 80 corridor more. I know 88 and 4 pretty good. Come on 'The Big Melt'!
