Hi everybody, I'm getting ready to go and pick up my blue and black Tenere, back on a bike after 11 years! Hope it's not too much bike for me. Looking forward to your site.

Nelson

Erenet, my man. Or whatever, you know. Always good to see the old Maple Leaf represented. Go and get that bad boy and let us know what you think. About 8 cm of wet crappy snow here. I'm done for the year. Hope you're faring better. Let us know and welcome. Eh ?? R

Welcome from Texas. I think it'd be a good bike to get back on as long as your tall or wear high heels. Enjoy the Ten!

::015:: Hi Nelson and welcome to the forum from Cork. It's never too late to get back on a motorcycle. Just remember to walk before you run. ::003::

Welcome to the Forum Nelson!!! Glad to see you are returning to mc riding!

When you say blue and black, do you mean blue with black trim? If so, that's a good thing since the blue bikes are the fastest.....

Re: Hello from Tronto

If it were truly blue and black the bike would rip itself apart with the black portion going faster than the blue....

WEll stated, Snuff. I think this should be brought to the Attention of Yamaha Corp so they can post a bulletin. I consider this a serious safety issue.

It's good that you pointed this out early on. I admire an astute man. R

Re: Hello from Tronto

Special I guess. That's what was on the bill of sale. Also noticed "11" as part of the VIN. So is it a 10 or 12 , as in they didn't make a 2011?

It's a '12, same as all the rest of them here in the US.

Re: Hello from Tronto

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Well, I was a little intimidated when I picked it up, so I asked my Buddy to ride it home for me. I test rode it on my street; now it does not want to stay in the garage. ;D

It is a little heavy to move by hand, (I'm a right below knee amputee) but it's getting better with practice. When I ride it I forget about its weight, even with a passenger, very comfortable and smooth; that is until you switch it into S mode then all hell brakes loose; what a beast  I am happy I got the blue, it is fast. ;)

I like the black too, but I can have only one. Me and my buddy went to your neighborhood (GP Bikes) today, got caught by rain on the way home.

Send me a pm if you come to toronto.

later

erenet (reverse of tenere) ;)
