Hello from the Florida Panhandle. Picked up a low mileage naked 2014 non-ES S10 recently and have begun the seemingly never-ending farkling process. Really enjoying the machine as we begin the bonding process. Helibars, ACD, Bumot...

Long time member from the COG forum and am enjoying the banter here. Great info and no drama. Good stuff.

Cheers,
Randy

Welcome from central Florida, Randy. Perhaps we'll share a ride some time. Ever transit Bob Sikes Road south of Mossy Head? Fun little run but watch out for the critters...

Thanks! I have not ridden that road, even though I pass through that intersection quite often. Have to add it to the list.

Congrats! I hear you on the farkling. It can be never ending, but that is part of the fun. Post a pic of the bike if you get a chance. I would like to see the Bumots on the bike. I just went with the Givi Outbacks, but I heard very good things about the Bumots.

I'm like a kid at Christmas as my Bumots will be here Friday and rechecking my UPS page status will not speed them up despite my wishes. :-\

I'll post a few pics when I get them mounted this weekend. I looked hard at several brands before picking the Bumots. Search included asking several owners their opinions and the Bumot owners all love them. But, it seemed easier to buy a car or house than decide which panniers to put on the S10.

Now on to the windshield decisions...

Ha! we have went through almost the exact same thing recently. I ordered my bags from Motostorm and they took two months to get here. ??? It turns out everyone in Italy takes a summer holiday for a few weeks (we need to work on that here...) Still checked the update on status every day anyway. Also my windshield is next on the list as well. I am leaning toward the Madstad bracket and shield, but let me know what you find out.

Welcome Randy. I live over in Magnolia Springs, AL, just north of Gulf Shores/just west of Foley. I just purchased a new overstock 13 ST about 3-4 weeks ago. I'm over in P'Cola every week on it. Have already ridden the Tail of the Dragon/Cherohala, etc on it and doing it again next week with my son. I've done the dual sport ride there in the past which is a hoot. Also used to ride a lot of hare scrambles in the past so looking forward to mixing some offroad with inroad.

Maybe we can link up for a ride sometime.

Mark
