I just wanted to say my official hellos to everyone here on the Tenere forum. I picked up an almost new blue 2012 model with pretty much all of the additions that I would want to do to one, for a pretty good deal. The bike currently sits at 3600 miles, and I hope to put 4000 more on before September is over with a two week trip to somewhere.

As for me, I am certainly not new to riding. I have been street riding for 16 years, and dirt riding for 30. The Tenere is my replacement for my 2004 V-Strom 1000 that currently is sitting at 103k miles. I hope to get at least 100k out of the Yami, but ideally I am striving for 150-200k. Basically I plan on keeping her until I don't trust it to go longer distances anymore.

Anywho, I'm glad to be a part of this forum. It appears to be filled with lots of good folks(and maybe a couple strange ones). I am sorry for the cell phone picture, but so far that is all I have taken of it so far.

A Texas Howdy.

103K on your V-Strom? Then that Tenere is in for a flogging. :)

Sure seems like new Tenerista are popping up daily!

Howdy, DFW_Warrior from DFW or thereabouts. A big howdy from the Yukon. Good looking bike, but then they all tend to be. It rides even better than it looks. Good luck with it, and ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Are you the DFW Warrior From TWT? If so then I'm sure you will contribute some positive things to this site as well. ::008::

Depending on weather, I will either go North to Yellowstone, or West to Yosemite. Either way I plan on taking the long way to and from.

You might have if it was a year or two ago. I don't think I have been in the past few years. Dirt biking and shooting take up pretty much all of my free time these days. The road bike is used primarily for commuting and then long road trips.

Maybe a Friday Ice Cream night then, I think it was fairly recent.

Hi Bill, we've met before, almost bought your old WR. Glad to see you and welcome to the Tenere family. Your Strom was a good bike but I think you'll find this one is a Great bike. We' ll have to meet up sometime.

Bill
