I'm a fairly new rider, but living in East Tennessee without a motorcycle would be like living on a lake without a boat. My first bike was a 2014 matte gray Yamaha Stryker, but quickly learned about it's peg dragging limitations. I put 10,000 miles on that bike in 10 months and wanted something more upright with more lean angle. After trying a few FZs and FJs the decision to get the 2014 matte gray ST ES. Now the only limitation I imagine is my severe lack of experience. I haven't tried any offroading yet but I love the on road characteristics. Once I get really comfortable I'll give offroading a go.
I plan to keep this one quite a bit longer so there are a lot of wallet sucking mods coming up.

Welcome aboard.

Congrats on the new bike. If you plan to go off pavement at all, protect the fan on the left with bars and the oilman with a skid plate. Those have been found to be our 2 vulnerable areas and both are easily addresses. LOTS of threads about who likes which and sources. The search function for this forum works very well and the model has been sold for 5 years, so there is little you can think of that we have not already discussed.
