Rambler aka RJ here from North Atlanta Burbs.

Finally got my S10 into my garage after a nightmare of a wait. (Many members have been bored to death of my updates on this subject) One thing after another. Bike came in last Thursday. Finally!

The weather cleared up on Sunday. Mid-High 60s, light breeze. Perfect for a ride. A quick 2hr ride. 50:50 split between Asphalt and Gravel Trail Road. The SuperTenere handled pretty well. Nimble, agile and confident.

Next up, Crash Guards and Skid plate.

Some pics from the first ride:

Well?

What ya think?

I remember my first mile 6 years ago.
The bike was HUGE!!!!

Today, I chase trikepilot through the woods throwing it on the ground like a dirt-bike.
Albeit, the biggest dirt-bike in the world.

Regardless, nice to see the big WAIT has ended.

I sat on the bike that Thursday to make the vroom vroom sounds - like we do - and my first thought was - it's like sitting in the skies. The seat in High position helped there.

I've set the seat to L. Single, no luggage, Soft +3 - changes I've made so far.

Biggest difference coming off the FJR - so agile, light in comparison. A riding friend in India always had a dig on the FJR 'That's a Boat'. After riding the S10, the FJR did feel like a boat. So much easier riding standing up also. Can't wait to get out there and make the most of the season. Call into Mr Fyffe shall be made with urgency to check off the guard and skid plate.

Congrats finally!

I had the opposite experience with the FJR after riding my ST for years (and letting my last FJR go). When I swung a leg over the FJR at the last IMS I went to for a demo ride, I was amazed how small it felt!

Thanks. Much clearer.

Noticed the 2 dangling hoses under the engine. It's not suppose to be dangling but should be in between the Stator Cover and the black plastic cowling.

That's where mine were too. Got the Altrider skid plate, and just laid them inside. And since I too have that blue, WE know that pictures do NOT do the color justice. I am going to cry when I scratch it. Yeah, yeah, I know....But, congrats on finally getting your new bundle of joy! ::012::

Absolutely right. Pictures just do not do any justice to what the color really looks like.
Looking at pics friends have said 'It's just a blue - what have you been raving about?' They don't get to see any more pictures!

Thanks! Bundle of Joy indeed. After the first ride, the wait was well worth it. (At the cost of spamming and boring everyone about my woes)
