Hello from New Brunswick Canada

Hello all, been lurking around the site for a couple of weeks figured it was time to register and say hello. I am currently running a 2007 Suzuki Vstrom 1000 that is set up for long distance and I am seriously looking at purchasing a new 2016 Tenere. I had the opportunity to try one out last week at the local Yamaha demo rides and was very impressed, the hard part is letting go of the cash and starting over on setting up another bike but that is part of the fun. I would be interested to hear from members who have moved to the Tenere from the Vstrom and any opinions they would have.

Hello Mutt, I came off a 2007 V-strom 650, night to day you are going love the s10, I'm 6'1" lots of room

I made the same change from a DL1000 Adventure to the S10. I put 10,000 miles on that Vstrom on a trip to your area up to Newfoundland and back to California. I loved the bike but hated the factory luggage that came with the Strom. To be honest though, I wanted the S10 all along but it was about $4,000 more (after luggage and mounts) than the VStrom. So, when I found a great deal on a used S!0 with just 2,000 miles on the odometer, I jumped at it. Never looked back...I think you'll be happy with the switch.

Though i considered one I've never had a V Strom, but I absolutely love the Super Tenere.
