Dropping in to say hello. I ride a Honda ST1100, my 2nd now. Needless to say I love the bike, except for when I see that pavement coming to an end. And I know the day is coming when I will be replacing my beloved. German has never been a thought, I love the looks of Italian, the British intrigue me, but the TEX is far from being trouble free. That leaves me where it really should have started. Honda missed the mark, even if it comes to the US. So the Super Tenere already looks like it could be the winner. Not only does the bike apparently satisfy in ride quality, it also seems to be tops in reliability - a long distance touring requirement.

So I'm here window shopping for my next bike. I'm going to be looking for the used bike that was bought by the rider that had the intent, but sadly not the time. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy this site, reading all I can about how much you folks like this bike, and just how much you generally love to ride.

Welcome aboard! Best deal I've seen on a S10 is in the classified thread now. That bike is loaded and worth way more.
Washington state is not far away. Good luck in your search

Yeah, I saw that. I caught myself thinking about pulling the trigger a little early on that one, even looking up the location, imagining a fly and ride. That is such gorgeous country to ride through, it would be a shame to have to dodge the weather and miss some of the great riding opportunities. Again, that's a tough one to pass on, but I've got a few more trips on the Honda still.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. This is a great site.

No doubt I would buy that one and have to pinch myself to believe it. It's rigged up very nicely.

Welcome from metro Seattle, Dave!

Be patient and the right bike will show up before you know it! Tons of information here for all things Tenere.
