Hi everybody. My name is Tomas and I live in the south of sweden.
Just found this site and this is my first post. Hope many to come.
Have the original Super Tenere at the moment which is not bad at all.
But I want to keep up with all modern tech as it is on newer bikes.
Made a down payment the other day on a 2010 with 12500 km´s on the clock.
Flying next saturday to fetch it. I will drive it home.
Never done that before with a bike (fly and fetch) so it´s a little adventure. :)

A pic is coming later on when I have it at home.
Don´t really know yet whats original or not but the bike is equipped with,
the 3 Yamaha aluminum boxes, higher windscreen, touratech screen adjuster
and GPS holder. Raisers for the handlebar and handlebar grip heater and
finally the engine protection cover below the engine.

Going to the alps this season so I guess I need to change the tyres, it´s TKC80´s at the moment.
What tires do you use for asphalt only?

Regards Tomas

Welcome from Washington State Tomas!

Congrats on the soon-to-be new [to you] bike...you won't be disappointed. Regarding tires, you can't go wrong with PR3s if you don't venture off road.

Good luck and enjoy the bike!

Hej Tomas

Anders från Norrköping, välkommen hit! :)

Jag kör Michelin Anakee 2 för tillfället, men har också goda erfarenheter av Metzeler Tourance EXP.

Ha det fint!

Hi and thanks for the welcoming. :)

Trip back home is only 600 km if I go the straight highway. But I´m not.
Knobbies isn´t that great driving with higher speed so I´ll will choose smaller roads with lower speed limits.
Maybe another 100 km added on or something like it.

I´m starting to get very excited about this for me new bike. Can´t wait. ::001::

Yesterdays little adventure went well. I took the flight and landed in pooring rain.
Inspected the bike and it was not 100% as the seller earlier did claim. Some small
scratches here and there but that was expected from my side. He said it was used some
on gravel roads and other roads out in the forrests. Bike was tested (in the rain)
and it was great riding it. Worked as it should. We closed the deal and I started my
trip home. 645 km I had on the trip odo when I was home. I will replace those TKC80´s
for some PR3´s next week.

Not used to go riding in the rain so I had a lot of problems with the helmets visor.
Not enough air was hitting the helmet when sitting behind that windscreen so the damp
would not go away from inside the visor. I had to have the helmet a bit open for it to
dry out.

Another thing I had problem with was the sidestand. Could not get it down properly.
But today I found out the technique, pull the footpeg upwards and then it was space to
pull the sidestand pin all the way down.
But I think the sidestand is to short. An inch longer would not hurt, anyone made his/hers
any longer?

As promised, a pic of my bike.
Panniers is not mounted and it is a little dirty from yesterdays trip.
