Hi All! After watching and reading too many adventure bike shows and books, I'm hooked! Currently have my '03 Harley Road King up for sale and am picking up my 2016 ST ES in a few weeks (or as soon as the Harley sells). Also have an 83 Kawasaki KZ750 which was my dream bike from when I was a teenager. Looking forward to doing some bigger rides on the new Tenere.
Inspirations (as if any of you still need any):
- Long Way Around (of course)
- Jupiter's Travels by Ted Simon (by far the best written adventure travel book I've read). The inspiration for Long Way Around
- Motorcycle Therapy by Canadian Jeremy Kroeker
- Through Dust and Darkness by Jeremy Kroeker
- C90 Adventures on YouTube. Hillarious and down to earth travel vlog on YouTube. Does everything a GD rider does but on a Honda C90 Scooter - including crossing Canada in the dead of winter.
- All of you who get out and adventure ride!

I work in educational software (sales) and also am a professional singer/songwriter and aspiring photographer... Www.jolleycut.com
I look forward to learning lots about the Super Tenere from all of you here. Cheers.

Welcome Dan!

You appear to be primed for what is fixing to happen to you. :)

Grab that guitar and chase those sunsets. The Tenere can get you to them.

Thanks! Lots of people don't get why I'd sell a beautiful Road King for a "plain looking" yamaha. I think you either get it or you don't. There's no convincing some people. :)

A warm welcome to the forum from an unusually cold and snowy west coast BC!

You will never regret the purchase. It's a wonderful mororcycle. The more you ride it the more you will wonder why you didn't get it earlier!
