I just closed the deal on a black 2012 S10 last week. The dealer was kind enough to store the bike until early April, when hopefully the temperatures will climb over 40 F.

The form is full of great postings and information, currently hunting for some basic accessories…. Any suggestions are welcome.

Crash guards: Givi vs. Altrider, any thoughts?
Hard bags: I seem to like the Givi E41, anyone has these?
Yamaha engine guard.
Yamaha side wind deflectors

Hope to meet some of you in person as the winter turns into spring. Can't wait !

Cheers,
Reli

As to your questions - givi is the more economical choice, but I feel the Altrider is a bit more stout. Both are good choices, though.

I have the givi trekker 3 piece set. Not familiar with the e41 series, but I'm happy with my trekkers. They mount up on the PLR367 quick release side rack and make it easy peasey to remove/put on.

Welcome and Congrats on your new bike.. Brought my S10 last April (action Yamaha) and have about 16,500 miles on it now. i'm in central NJ as well and by my rough count we at lest 5-6 S10's in the state maybe more.

Keep searching this forum for accessories you find some good options.
