Picked up this beauty 000069 on Friday. I had arranged to order the bike on March 11.
Of course that turned out to be the day of the quake in Japan.
Was listening to the news reports on the way to the dealer and thought maybe this isn't such a good idea. Turns out it was a very good idea.
Got a good 500km ride in yesterday and the bikes scheduled for its 1000km check this Weds. Then its off to see what this bike is really all about :-\

Welcome aboard, BWC. Plan on coming up for the big DO next summer. You're in a good spot for riding. R

Rem, Theres another Tenere pilot just down the road from me and we are aware of the get together on the July long weekend 2012 in the great white north.
We are intending to be there if we can arrange it.

Congratulations but I think you may have my bike... just kidding! Ordered mine March 5 in Calgary and still not here. I think the dealer isn't telling me something. Anyways happy trails.

Did you add those Yamaha stripe decals or did the Canadian blue bikes come with them?

Thanks
The three blue Canadian bikes I have seen all have the stripe. I feel the graphics for these bikes needs a little more of something, maybe XTZ1200 somewhere on the tank/plastic. So far the initial reaction from others on the road has been "what the hells a Tenere?"

Well if it turns out to be your bike its running great and is almost broken in.
Hang in there I'm sure its on its way. I've heard the bikes arrived in Vancouver then were shipped to Ontario for distribution.

Pretty bike.

Black is still faster. :D
You may be somewhat right with that. The black ones arrived before the blue at the dealers, on the west coast anyway.
Have done some personal testing of the blue with all colours of heavy iron/cruisers and in all cases the blue was faster. :-\
