Greetings to all of S10 owners here. My name is Abong which you pronounce as "are - bone - ng" sort off.. Im from Malaysia which is up north of Singapore.. I just bought my used 2013 US Spec S10 on July 2017.. it's 6k miles done as i wrote this post.. looking forward to more milleage onwards..

I'm 33 yo this years and I've been riding since i was 13.. my first bike is a Honda C70 which my late father bought for me on 1996, bought Yamaha RXZ 135 on 2002, bought used Yamaha TZM 150 on 2012, bought used Honda Future 125 on 2013, bought used Honda EX5 on 2014, bought Yamaha LC135 on 2015 and now bought used Yamaha S10 on 2017.. all of thr bike is in my garage which i used for commuting everyday and the purpose for purchasing the S10 is to fulfill my long life dream to explore the world on 2 wheels and i found that after 2 years of researching, S10 is the less-problematic compared to other dual purpose bike..

Thanks for accepting me in the family..

Welcome!
Since you stated your bike has 6k miles, my first tip for you is this:
Turn key to power on display, then press and hold left side button on front of display. Viola your miles now change to kilometers and speed is now km/h.

Welcome to the forum abong. ::012:: We have lots of good people here and good information. There are also other world travelers that lurk here too. They may help you with any questions you might come up with on traveling. The hardest part is closing the garage and just going! I'm sure you will have many miles of happy exploring on your Super Tenere.

Welcome from uk. You're so lucky living in Asia. I used to live there and really miss it. Enjoy the S10

No way I know of to change to °C. You're stuck with °F unless you swap to a non NA display.

And greetings from Portugal

Reliability was my priority also for a Dual purpose bike. After one year researching I (i.e. this forum ;D) decided on the S10.
