Hi All,

One of those new guys with a 2012. I have owned it since 2019 and taken advantage of the many helpful techincal pictorials on this forum as I try to minimize my exposure to motor mechanic labor rates in the NYC / LI area. I usually stick to the North Fork of Long Island on weekends, but I sometimes commute to NYC / NJ and take trip to upstate New York (9W market and the reservoirs on Saturday mornings once or twice per year).

Thank you for allowing me to join the group.

Welcome aboard. Share some pix when you get a chance. I've read that is a beautiful state.

Welcome, from Texas. Yet another '12. Apparently, those are the only ones getting sold.

Upstate is. Long Island . . . . not so much.
Just curious, have you spent a lot of time in or have seen/visited a majority of the areas, towns, villages located in Long Island?
Maybe by the water.
island [ahy-luhnd]:
noun
a tract of land completely surrounded by water, and not large enough to be called a continent.

No, just the overpopulated areas.

Ha! I should have been more specific. I was talking more about toward Montauk, near open water

My 2012 was stolen from the East 50s in NYC. I am guessing it was yanked in to a van. I wonder what they end up doing with the bikes they steal. Hoping to get it back or get a new S10.
Very sorry to hear your Tenere got stolen, my guess would be they will take it apart and sell parts , hopefully you have good insurance.

Hey from East Tennessee, grew up in upstate. Gotta go further north to truly enjoy. Try 28 or 10 through the Mohawk valley to the north country. It’ll be an over nighter for you but well worth it!
