I am looking to source Heidneau K60s close to Nova Scotia any suggestions. Has any one found or fabricated front fender extentions, say 2 inch, to compensate for mud.

Salty S Tenere on order

I think the new one with the solid center is the new K60 scout... The other is older type if you can find one... Ive read everywhere that they wear great.. This is the tires im looking for aswell... I read that 50 sets came in the country in the last few weeks... they sold OUT the first day............ Looks to be a good dirt / street tire that guys with 990's and GS's are getting 8-9K miles on a Hybrid tire.... :p

Ill be working on fender mod for sure... If people like Ill offer them...... Also, I have noticed that factory Yamaha has done its own fender mod's on some of there "fancy" You-Tube Super Tenere's.... They are trimming the "lip" off the front of the fender and gaining about 3/4" of dirt / mud clearance...... fast and free mod............. ;D

I still don't see a 150/70-17 listed for us! :(

Update...........

I see it listed on some of the suppliers sites, but not on the actual Heidneau site. Weird.......

Salty that’s what I am going to install on the S10 , I deal with http://dualsportplus.com/service.html and I know they do ship and I am going to check with a local guy to day. Dualsport plus price is for the front is $141 rear $188.

Hmmm, just looking around and the K76 looks good too. Looks to be closer to the OEM BW or a Tourance as far as tread pattern. A little less "dirt" oriented (and not a M+S rated tire).

I'll wear out the OEM stones first, but these are looking like a strong contender. :)

My Scouts just arrived UPS!!!! Yahoo!!!! Oh Rats, I don't have a bike for them!!!! These thing look SWEET in person!!! I am amazed how stiff they are. I would think this will help with the mileage. The load rating for the rear alone is 700 and change!!! The front has 500lb rating!!!! Man this is going to get good!!!!

Oh, my carbon vinyl 4'x6' piece came today as well!!! IT must be Christmas!!!

Well had my first weekend away with the K60 rear on my Vee. Was kind of a getting-to-know-you weekend :D and a good test to see if it's a tire I want to eventually fit to the S10.

I came away with the answer being... a definite maybe. Basically it depends on the kind of riding you're going to be doing. Wear rate is a big factor in the decision on this tire too, so will have to wait and see how that goes.

More here, with pics

Good report Trevor!!!! I'm really leaning AWAY from this tire since I see myself in the true 90-10 type of rider and prefer the tire to preform best for the money in that 90 area, not the 10 - which I'm sure the K60's really shine.

Just my .02
