never jacked with heated grips before.
Thinking about removing my bars and taking some sweep out.
What's involved with removing the left hand heated grip, and can it be re-used?
Is the heating element in the grip itself or on the bar?

Thanks

It's in the grip. Someone will probably suggest that you use compressed air to inflate it to remove it. Before you try that, I can tell you that although the elements in the grips have some flexibility, they are not elastic and can easily break by stretching with inflation. Been there, done that. You might be able to get a thin screwdriver under it and spray something like Armour All or perhaps WD40 to loosen the glue enough to work the screwdriver around and get it loose enough to slide it off. You would have to clean it very well before applying glue to put it back on.

No problem. BTW, I use rubbing alcohol to rinse out the leftover Armour All or whatever you use to help get it off to make use that it is clean so the new glue will stick.

You could use a veterinarian syringe with gasoline. I use it to remove golf grips. Inject some gas under the grip and work the gas around as you inject more.
