Hey all, couldn't find anything in my search (sometimes computer challenged), want to install the Oxford Adventure heated grips on my 2014 but I can't figure out how the bar ends come off. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The bar ends on the 14 are different, they just don't basically fall off once the Allen bolt is out like they did on my 12......

All hand guards are off, photo is clutch side. It is like it is pressed into the handlebar but doesn't move.

If you look inside of there you will see a big allen. I forget the size that I had to use when I set up my 14, but it is big. Yes, the 14's are different from the previous models.

I see, even the design is changed a little, they went for the conical look.

It doesn't make sense to press in when it is the only access to replace the grips.

The only thing I can think of is that they threaded it onto the handlebar, did you try to twist it counter clockwise?

Looks like a 12mm, does that sound right? Might need a quick trip to the hardware store.

That sounds about right. It is threaded into the bar and then the bolt for the handguard screws into it.

I'm glad you got it out.
I never seen a '14 in person, I was being guided by what you were describing and common sense, I was almost there. ;D
