Sorry I still dont get it.
When using my heat troller, the supply side is plugged in to the panel jack outlet on the bike that goes directly to the positive and negative on the battery.
Why would the outlet side of the heat troller be connected to anything except the plugs on the heated garments ?

I didn't do a panel outlet, I have a coax pigtail that I keep under the seat and pull up between the tank and the seat when needed. I went with the wireless Warm N Safe controller, so I could have a single wire hookup to me while still having dual zone control. Not a great picture, but I used a RAM mount with hole to go under the mirror, and added a RAM ball to the controller.
Same here.

I thought about a panel mount for my plug...then I just brought the lead out under the drivers seat and called it "good". I use a coil cord and am happy.

I LOVE the wireless controller. 1 cord, no mess.

Heat Trollers are pulsing the ground side, if the plug outlet is grounded to the frame, it's like having a ground all the time, so no way to pulse it, so it mimics full on and you can't regulate the heat. It wouldn't matter if you were just using a hi/low switch. Some of this may depend on if the controller is plugged into the outlet, or if the controller is between the outlet and bike power, (mounted set up), and the jacket is only being plugged into the co-ax outlet.
Rethink that. The pulse is from the heat troller to the jacket, not from the plug to the troller. ???

I've only done mounted controller installs on my bikes, and the friend with the ground issue also had a dual mounted heat-troller. So point taken, but the plug was just for the heated gear, the controller was between the plug and battery.
