So there I was, at Homedepot after I made a quick run to the auto parts store and spent $28 on a pair of H7 bulbs. I was looking for a kreg bit when I saw they had H7 bulbs for $2.80 each. Sure they may have been Sylvania basics, but I bought hand fulls of them and returned the pair I had paid $28 for.

Moral of the story. Keep your eyes open.

And those $3 bulbs will have a longer life than the $14 ones also. You'll give up maybe 20% brightness but gain 100% life. If you run aux LED lights anyway that's the way to go.

They certainly aren't the brightest. But I think I have enough bulbs to last the next 1.5-3 yrs. Not bad for $12

I wish you'd learned this about two weeks ago, so I could have saved myself the 28 bucks I spent about a week ago on my burned out headlight. I've been riding bikes for 32 years, and that was the first headlight bulb I'd ever had to replace.

I had a 2005 klr until a few months ago. Still had the original headlight in there. About 40k miles. I get myself a Tenere (used) and both bulbs went out in a month. I like having a bright head light but the cost was looking to be a real pain.
