Interesting. I have had 2 sets on 2 different GS's and a new set of Denali's on the S10 with no issues. Mine bolted up just fine although I did leave the grab handles off so I had to shorten up the rear bar that attaches both bags. Sorry to hear you had issues.

Did exactly the same thing, nearly 40,00 miles on mine and could not be happier. Solid and relaiable

I had a set on my old strom and they bolted up okay. They are a decent pannier for the price, but nothing like the Jesse I have now. I used their mounts and the panniers were predrilled (I believe this was an option then).

I will say that the HT design has been thoroughly ripped of by every wanna be pannier maker out there. There has to be at least 6 builders of that style pannier right now. If imitation is the best form of flattery, then HT must feel pretty good.

I had Happy Trail racks and highway pegs on my 99 KLR and was very happy with them. On my 2008 KLR, I had the highway pegs, racks, Givi bags, and a big skid plate, and they all worked together very well. That said, Happy Trails is a small, indie shop, and you are not likely to get the same level of immediate service from them that you might get from a larger organization. For me they were great.

I was one of the early adopters of the Happy Trails Panniers for the newly arrived 2012 Super Tenere on the American shores.

They didn't come fast. They didn't come as a single shipment. They didn't come as "sexy" kit.

The DID come as solid and hand built by some folks that have a long history of quality work at a high value.

And they have held up well to my reckless abuse of this beast. They ARE part of my crash protection. :)

I ordered the HT brackets and the 9" Tetons. The brackets came in a week but were missing two L brackets. I sent an email and the L brackets arrived a few days later. Everything fit with no problems. My biggest problem is that I still have not received the panniers. Why does it take soon long between the time you order and when you get the panniers?
I had my Panniers from my KLR so shipping was super fast for me, I walked five feet to the new bike with em :p

Good thread, glad to see so many reviews, really helps people one way or another making their decision.
