I feel for you, Rem.rem said:It's minus 30 this morning. I'm going into hibernation for a while. It's been swell. Send money. Good-bye forever, or until it warms up. R ::003::
And I was worried about the -4 this morning with 6" of snow and the -10 next two nights! Not sure I have enough maps.rem said:OK, I had to share It's minus 36 here this morning. That's it. I'm done. Bye. R ::007::
I will ride to work on dry streets as long as it is above zero. Right now (8 PM) it is -7 F so not riding to work tomorrow!AVGeek said:I'd much rather have 90 straight days of triple digit temps than ever live where temps drop to single and negative digits...
I am about two hours east of Detroit in southern Ontario. I don't mind cold weather. It is a simple matter to layer up and stay comfortable in the cold. What I hate is the snow and ice that accompanies this weather and makes the roads pretty much impossible to ride. Even when it warms up a bit, there is always a lot of residual salt on the road until the first few hard spring rains wash it away. When I retire in a few years, I am hoping my wife and I will be able to spend at least three or four weeks every winter in a more hospitable climate (e.g., Arizona, Florida, Texas, etc.)AVGeek said:How in the f%^& do people live where it's this damn cold? I know it's no Yukon, but I'm in Detroit working at the auto show. It's 7 outside right now...I have the thermostat in my room set at 77...
