If you want honor your mother here:

I'll start. Here is my Mom when I stopped by her house yesterday to ask her if she wanted to go out to supper. I know my sisters have plans for her today. She said sure, I asked what time do you what to go? She replied how about 1. Ok we'll see you then. My wife and I get tickled because the older you get the earlier people eat supper. Mom is on her way to having a big breakfast one of these days.

Mom is 84 years old loves her flowers and still cuts her large yard and drives. That peony she is nursing is one she got from her fathers house. He passed away almost 40 years ago. As far as moms go she is the greatest. When I was a boy her spankings were weak and her hugs were strong. Nobody could comfort like Mom except when she would say "wait till your father gets home". Mom was a stay at home mom who took care of us 4 kids. In the late 50s to 72 she was a foster mother for 23 kids mostly babies. Young college girls who got pregnant would bring their babies by Sunday night and Mom would take care of them all week. On Friday after school babies mom would come pick them up. You could tell they knew their babies were in good hands. When my brother in law went to Vietnam Mom worked a couple of midnight shifts a week at an ammunition factory to show support for her son in law. Not a popular thing to do at the time but Mom thought it was right. Lots of good stories to reminisce about one of these days. She and Dad were married 57 years till he passed away. Not sure how long she will be with us. One thing is for sure a good Mother is a great Blessing.
