I just lost one of my weighted ends. Must have fallen off while I was riding. I'm been scouring the internet (Google) trying to find a match for the one I still have. I've attached a couple of photos to this post. Would appreciate any advice!

Obviously you could try breakers first, but when bike have been down on the road, these tend to take damage.

Thank you! How can I be sure that part 17 hasn't been replaced with something aftermarket?

That's your choice I'm afraid - the right hand side looks fairly standard fare - maybe remove it & see if there are any part numbers or ID info.
My 2014 bar ends have a slight taper, if that's any help - why not use the parts finder & plumb in your exact year/model.

where are you located roughly? i have a machine shop and could spin one out if you are stuck. i'm in Ontario, just north of Toronto
edit: I have a 2012 with factory bar ends. if you want to send me the dimensions of your existing one, i can match them against mine and tell you if they are stock. send dimensions and toss on a kitchen scale to make sure the weight is stock and not modified for previous owners needs

I appreciate the offer! I'm in Atlantic Canada. I'm contacting the local Yahama dealer and will get them to order me the parts.
I'm assuming it's a Gen I since there's no cruise. It looks OE, but not Gen II. Mine did the same thing when it was new. I think it was a bad bolt. It had loosed several times before I lost it. The replacement bolt has never loosened. I just went through the dealer.

no worries man. good luck. if you check my edit and want to send me the weight and dimensions i can compare with mine that are known factory version.
by the looks of your picture i'd say they look like the ones on mine from the factory.
give it just a half drop of blue loctite when you assemble.. don't overdo the loctite because the bar side of that weight is just pressure fit and if you over do the loctite, disassembly can cause the bar side to spin and making removal impossible down the road.
Thanks for this! I checked with the previous owner and confirmed they're stock. So I'll contact the local dealer today and get some ordered in.
