My son and I have our HAM licenses and were wanting to figure out a way to mount up a Handheld radio and antenna. Just figure someone on here has done it and can tell us and show us how you did it. We have the Baofeng UV-5R radios and would like to mount them somewhere on the bars and figure out a remote PTT, antenna and bluetooth to our Senas. If anyone has any ideas, tips and especially setups of there system it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks.. KG7SJQ

Have my Gordon West book. Need to get HAM license. Volunteer with CERT for L.A. City Fire. I triaged enough to last me a lifetime in Vietnam. Going into the communication branch. Plan to run a base station/repeater off my S10 and take it up to strategic hilltop and spend the emergency above all the turmoil. Lots if details to work out though.

Look for a Yaesu FTM10 SR, it is waterproof and can be fitted with a bluetooth module to communicate with a headset. Mount the main body under the seat, or in top box and fix the head unit to the bars.

I am trying to find one, but they are rare in the UK.
