I'll probably have an Ah Ha moment about 5 mins after I post this, but here goes:

New '15 ES. I bring up the menu for the grip heaters, then I have a High-Med-Low screen.
I then toggle and go from there to the number or power for each setting which I can then change.

But how do I actually engage or turn on the grip heaters. I can never get the display to show the 1, 2, or 3
crooked arrows and as far as I can tell, no heat.

Its gotta be easy peasy, but so far the light has not come on yet.

Maybe I can find a kid somewhere to splain it to me....

There's a trigger button on the opposite side from the high/low beam switch. click the trigger switch to change the display from driving information to heated grips. You'll see the screen show a picture of a grip. then use the up/down toggle to toggle between 1,2, and 3 lines. Each line will represent the amount of heat you chose during setup.

You can see the trigger button in this picture just above the rivet on the shift lever. It's on the opposite side of the switchgear from the high low beam switch.

Yep. Got,that down. I do all, that, just not getting heat. It appears I'm doing everything correctly, just no heat nor a display that shows the heat is working.

You're holding in the menu button for a few seconds and going to the setup menu - NOT the selection menu. Get out of it, and just hit the menu button for a split second once or twice until you see the heated grips on the right screen.

Edit: then press the up/down arrows to choose from low/med/high

If you pull the trigger and can toggle between driving info, grips and your suspension then it's unlikely that your grips are broken. I know this because I added factory grips to a non ES model and had to replace the throttle side due to faulty installation. When the grips shorted out I could no longer toggle to the grip screen. It was as if the bike did not recognize they were installed.

Check to make sure you don't have all three levels of heat set to zero or a very low heat setting. It's worth a shot to check.

Edit to add that talcon is probably right here.

Let me ask it a different way. When menu selection the Grip option, then the High-Middle-Low screen, then I have the numbers below and right of this. I go to High,
and toggle to "10" for the setting. I then highlight the High portion and then hold down the Menu button till it exits.

Should'nt I then have it grips turned on and on High-10?

OK, just had my Ah Ha moment.

Got it figured out. There are actually 2 modes, kind of. One just sets the different levels of power, but doesnt turn it on or off.

The other mode turns the grips on by letting you choose the level of power or how many crooked arrows you want/see.

Easy Peasy
