It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that one of our members with forum name of Gregory sadly passed away yesterday Boxing Day after a blood cancer disease that had returned about 6 months ago. He had been clear for a couple of years.
I had known Greg for about 3 years and he was a regular riding buddy and in the majority of cases leading the ride out with his vast knowledge of local and further afield riding routes. We had many good outings and he loved his bikes and cherished his two S10’s a ‘13 Gen 1 and his current ‘17 Gen 2. He also owned a Triumph Tiger 800 and was a founding member of the UK Tiger 800 forum. Greg leaves a wife and two children and will be missed by many friends and forum members.

Condolences to all of Greg's family and friends. Very sad to lose someone that way. This also hits close to home for me. Stridey - Do you mind sharing what type of blood cancer Greg was battling?

Hi. Thanks for your condolences. Sorry I do not know specifically which type it was that took him finally.

Very sad news indeed, I feel for his friends and family. I know how it feels to have someone you love living in the unknown so to speak. My wife just completed her battle with stage 3 colon cancer in May and has been classified as potentially cured by the cancer clinic. So for now we carry on, but they watch her closely. Blood tests every 3 months as well as scans and scope tests once a year. It will stay like that for the next 5 years and then taper off if all the tests remain clear.

Very sad news. We have a family member who is fighting a blood cancer also. It is a horrible disease and a hard fight against it. I hope they can find a cure someday. Condolences to his family and friends.

Gregory's (Greg) funeral date has been announced as 17 January in Exeter Crematorium, Devon UK at 11.30 am.
Crematorium address details etc here https://www.dignityfunerals.co.uk/crematoria-and-cemeteries/crematoria/find-a-crematorium/exeter-and-devon-crematorium/
His family would like friends that ride to attend on their motor cycles starting from the funeral undertakers in Crediton Devon UK which will be an earlier time. Start time and address for the ride escorting Gregory's funeral hearse (car) will be made available once I hear from the family with the details.
Following the funeral the family are having a wake locally with refreshments and food available so please private message me and I will let you have the details.
If those that are attending please can you post up on here indicating just the funeral, ride in or both. Thanks. Mark.
