Hi all. Well, after several years of do I or don't I, I will soon (mid-April) pick up my 2011 XT1200. It's one of those bikes that has always appealed to me, but either I haven't been able to find the right bike, or the spare cash wasn't around...until now. Anyway, I look forward to being an active member of what seems to be a friendly active forum. Hopefully see some of you out there on our (my wife is regular pillion) travels. Simon

Picked up the bike from Edinburgh and headed to the west coast. Had a wonderful couple of warm (for Scotland) spring days and almost 600 miles getting to know the bike on a great mix of familiar Scottish roads. Really loved the bike, but the 'T' mode is too much like an on-off switch from a closed throttle, so I am leaving it in 'S' mode which is far smoother. Unfortunately the left fork seal was blown when I got home, and the right was showing signs of misting on the leg. All credit to Saltire Motorcycles (supplying dealer) of Edinburgh who sent a van to pick up the bike (over 6hr. round trip) and take it back to their workshop for repair. It's due back next week and then I can start adding a few farkles and more miles!
