Hi folks, and a big hello from the North East of England. I've had my S10 for about three months now and have racked up a modest 1,800 miles, just over half of that on a long weekend up to Scotland with my mate (buddy). I think this is my 49th bike, it gets a bit fuzzy on countback, and I've had a fair few big and medium sized 'adventure' bikes like Varadero's, V-Stroms, Africa Twins and even a Guzzi Stelvio.
We've just booked up for a little weeks jaunt in June next year starting in Ijmuden, Holland (ferry fron North Shields, about 12 miles from my house), through Germany, Switzerland and into Italy, staying at Lake Como (got to visit the Guzzi factory again). Then off to Austria, Switzerland again, Liechtenstein and Germany, calling into Arnhem, Holland on the way back to the ferry to see the Pegasus Bridge (a bridge too far). Should be a hoot and it'll cover around 1,600 miles in 8 riding days, love the Alps.
So far my 2014 bike has the stock alloy sumpguard, Touratech luggage rails, ARD cases alloy panniers & top box (top quality and look unbreakable !), a Touratech screen adjuster bracket, Calsci tall screen, some LED fog lights, SW Motech comfort pegs and a Simmi carbon tri oval exhaust (made locally in Consett, Co Durham). Future plans include a gel pad added to the seat and some heated grips.
Winters starting to rear it's ugly head here in the UK with some iffy weather this week and temperatures starting to fall. As soon as the salt goes down on the roads that's the bike left in the garage 'till it's gone, I don't like to watch my bike dissolve...
I've done a fair few miles around the North West of America and I have to say you have some amazing roads over there, the high pass from Denver to Estes Park was amazing (even if I can't remember the name of it).
