Hello Riders,
Jack here from Advance, NC. I've owned about ten bikes over the past two decades or so. Kawasaki Concours 14's and Triumph Rockets most recently. The Peter Principle, as it applies to motorcycle size, came into play with my last bike, a 900-lb Rocket Touring, and I began to think about downsizing. I'm 63, and a conversation along the Blue Ridge Parkway with a guy a little older than I am who had gone from a Goldwing to a V-Strom started me thinking about the Adventure class. I looked at the V-Strom, Versys, FJ09, and Super Tenere, and landed pretty quickly on the 2014 Tenere. I'm generally a long-distance rider, and I look forward to setting out on the new bike.
Best to all,
Jack
