A couple weeks ago, I camped off the bike and removed my Jesse Bags for riding around. When I remounted the panniers, I did not tighten down the one on the right. On my way out of the park, it fell out of the mount and went bouncing down the gravel road. ::010:: Structurally, the bag was intact (a little paint missing here and there) but was knocked out of square. Lesson learned. Don't be in a hurry when attaching your panniers. I was able to sucessfully reattach the bag and make it home without further incident.
I was worried about the lid having a tight seal, so I wanted to get everything trued up. I called Jesse Luggage to ask what can be done. They said to ship it to them and they'd call me with an estimate. They got the bag yesterday, worked on it today and already have it on it's way back to me. Normally, their minimum cost for repairs is $100. But my damage was relatively minor so they only charged me $75 plus $14 shipping. I should receive it next Mon or Tues (9 or 10 days from when I shipped it to them).
Hats off to the good people at Jesse (especially Alycia, who answered my myriad questions). Its a pleasure doing business with such a customer oriented company.
