I really like the Garmin nuvi gps and own 2 of them. I've looked at the sw motech mounts and like the ease and placement of the mount. Does anyone know of a mount similar to the motech that keeps the gps low and just over the instrument panel that excepts the nuvi style gps. Thanks' Brad

Re: God mounting?

Not sure what God has to do with it ;) ... guessing GPS.

Since the 2014-15 Tenere already has a accessory bar... guessing you have a 2012-13 Tenere.

I know this is not what you are asking for: Have seen accessory bars but they look expensive. If you mount the GPS that far from you you will have difficulty touching it. I have the stock accessory bar with nothing on it (yet). My GPS is mounted at the mirror with a RAM 1" Ball mount. I can read and access it easily.

I'd recommend mounting your God to the Pillion seat. That way they can always watch your back! ::025::

In seriousness though, if you're looking for an accessory bar, you might look at the Madstad brackets. They come with one that also acts as a brace for the brackets. They have alternate models that are made to work directly with Touratech GPS mounts. Might be just what you're looking for. ;)

Re: God mounting?

I wanted to mount my GPS on the accessory but found, like Tomatocity that the GPS was too far away to operate. I used a Ram ball mount and the GPS is up close for easy operation. I used the accessory bar to mount my GoPro.

On the bar is shaking like hell if the road is anything but perfect. If you're short armed, it will be far away too.
That said, screen mount bar is definitely the best position safety wise.

The SWmotech mount is awesome. It works great with my 550. I searched and found nothing better/cleaner.
