I may be swapping my S10 for a 1200RT. Decision is still to be made.

However i have been to a few BMW dealers to get part ex prices etc etc.

I think the answer would be to sell mine first then go armed with the cash as a better option.

So I am advertising here first in case anyone is looking.

The bike is festooned with extras which will be taken off if I do go down the part ex route. If someone buys it from me I will leave everything fitted.

The bike is a 2013(63 reg). 16750 miles..most of which have been done on European tours. I have another bike for my Sunday blasts.

The first MOT is due 5th October 2016 and I am the one and only owner from new.

Extras include:

Yamaha fog lights.
Hand guards.
Heated grips.
Touratech adjustable touring screen+original.
Remus end can+original.
Sat nav mounting bar.
Front fender extender.
Bag-lux tank cover.
Hugger.
Rear brake caliper protector.
Headlight protector.
Yamaha tank bag.
Wind deflectors.
Alloy skid plate/belly pan.
Touratech heal guards.
Side stand extender plate.
Rear Brake pedal extender.
Infill panel.
Givi 50 litre top box and rack.(Monokey)
Top box lid rack.
Givi "outback" panniers with Yamaha inner bags and lid cargo nets.
Touratech shaft protector.
Kaoko Cruise control.
Digi gear change indicator.
Yamaha low seat.
Datatool system 3 green. Alarm / immobiliser with both fobs.
Lower fork protectors.
Upper fork protectors.
Puig engine bars.

ECU reflash. Bike has 97 BHP at the back wheel.

and leaving the best till last...Nitron rear shock with shock protector cover. This one bit of kit has transformed the bike. Handles so well and even seemed to reduce the little bit of vibe in the bars! It was fitted about 10,000 miles ago. So wish I had done it sooner. The original shock also comes with the bike.

The bike is kept in a heated, carpeted garage. Washed after every ride and covered with 2 covers..just in case one falls off!

So that's it. The only reason I'm selling is no space for 3 bikes and we would like a bit more weather protection for our colder tours.

Please no one ask me to sell the extras separately at this stage. I will re advertise them should I go down the part ex path.

The bike is in North Staffordshire and I am free most evenings and weekend by arrangement.

Price is £8250 OVNO. I'm not looking for any part exes unless its a 2014 onwards BMW 1200RT with all the whistles and bells fitted, and a reasonably low mileage.

I accepted 6500. However all the extras will be removed which should make me £300 ish..plus the 18k service was due soon which will save me another 320 ish and its needing 2 tyres. So in total I reckon I've almost got 7300 for it.

With heated gear I'm toasty warm even when temps drop below freezing. Check out Warm and Safe if you don't have any. Advrider is the discount code for 20 percent off.

Good move, now how much do you want for the infill panel and hugger?

The bits I've taken off for sale are as follows.

Bag lux tank cover.
Yamaha tank bag.
Touratech heal plates.
Original screen.
Alloy belly pan.
Side stand extender.
Low seat.
Puig engine bars.
Down pipes protector.
Original Yamaha rear shock which has done 2500 miles.

Im leaving the hugger and infill panel on and I'm going to be using the luggage on the GS.

I do have a Givi Trekker top box for sale. 50 litre but one of the hinge bars has been replaced with a piece of coat hanger. It' works fine though and has a pillion back rest and lid mounted frame fitted.

Can push it up the drive easily..struggled with the S10. Time will tell on the rest of it I guess.

Definitely a bit more oomph and coming home via the motorway with cruise control was nice. Did feel a bit more wind blast but then again I had a tall screen on the Yam....still have standard one on the Beamer.

I thought you were getting an RT.... The GS is a great bike as long as you get one built on a Tuesday through Thursday and don't mind the more aggressive foot peg position (higher and more set back).

A missus that likes bikes, can't complain about that. Anyhow, hang around. Like I do with my Africa Twin. :)
