I had this HB mounting plate on the '12 Tenere I crashed. It's a very solid piece - much better mounting solution than any Givi or SW-M piece I've tried.
The HB plate is a 2-piece solution, which replaces the stock Tenere mount completely. Once installed, it's solid. You probably won't walk away from the crash that damages it.

As an aside, I had the Junior 40 liter topcase mounted. I actually liked it better than the Gobi (which I returned). The junior uses stainless steel hinges, rather than the Gobi's plastic hinge. They're both quality products, IMO.
