Has anyone tried the Givi Hi-Viz WP405 saddlebags - waterproof soft bags with a submersible style roll top design, they are a similar idea to Ortleib.

I'm thinking about these for next season on my XT1200ZE, as I am not keen on hard luggage on the sides - trouble is they really need frames to keep them secure & avoid damage to the bike, but I don't think Givi have sorted this out for the ZE models yet (it will be PL/PLR2119 when launched I think & probably twice the cost of the pair of bags). Alternatively I could get a set of frames fabricated locally I guess, as the Givi jobs will be way OTT for the task. I see Jesse no longer make frames; anyway they are expensive for UK import.

Has anyone got experience with the Givis & any ideas regarding frames?

I got a set of these givi´s, and will be making a side rack for them, but for the moment I´m out of my country(México), when I get back I ´ll start building them, doesn´t look too complicated. then have them powder coated.

Twisted Throttle and Hepco Becker come to mind for racks.

I just got a set of PL2119 Givi Monokey racks and unscrewed the 'monokey' tabs so the racks are flush, my soft bags now mount perfectly, and should I decide I want hard luggage (probably never) I have that option....

Yep, I bought the Givi Monokey PLR367 quick release racks for my Nelson Rigg soft bags, and they have been working out well. Best price for new was ebay @ $185/US, I think it was from Parts Unlimited Canada. Eventually, I will make a removable aluminum plate with a 90 degree bend that will support the bag underneath which will eliminate the crossover across the seat that connect the bags.
