Givi skid plate install tips???

Just muddle your way through. It isn't too hard. The hardest part for me was getting the bolt on near/ under the center stand.
I like my Givi skid plate a lot, but it was a headache to put on. My included hardware & instructions were deficient. Yours may be different than mine. Here are my notes that I posted on another board about the experience:
The skid plate instructions indicated all I needed were 10 and 13 mm open-end wrenches plus a 4mm Allen wrench.
In practice, I needed 12 and 13 open-enders, plus 5, 6, and 8mm Allens (I used sockets).
How did you completely miss 4 things I needed, yet tell me one other I didn't. At all.
Of course I was also given an extra spacer but two too few locking flange nuts. Thank you Menard's to the rescue.
