Re: Getting Speed wobble on left hand curves.

Years ago I had a similar issue crop up on an old Kawasaki. Left hand cornering at any thing over 45 mph caused a wobble. It did this on right hand corners too but not nearly as pronounced.

Had an out of round rear wheel due to loose spokes and wore out swing arm bearings. Took care of those and issues went away.

Don't know if this is of help.

I'm with you on suspecting the tire, but it may be nothing to see.

Obviously check for tight steering head bearings. We've seen some delivered a bit loose.

You might want to also loosen and re-torque the front axle and fork tube bolts in the proper order.

You might have tire defect in the left bead or sidewall. Sometimes deflating and moving the tire on the wheel will help but won't fix it permanently.

I'm with the crowd.... probably a defective tire.

WOBBLE SOLVED.

The previous owner installed a bar raiser. Rox bar raiser.

. .. .
So I took out the Rox raisers and put the bar back on the stock raisers and took the bike out for a test drive.

I pushed it through the very same turns where I previously got speed wobbles and the bike went through them perfectly.
I even pushed the bike harder and leaned to the limit. NO WOBBLE! Goes in, through and out of the turns really nicely.
I'm really enjoying it now.

I also like the stock bar height more too.
Glad you found the problem and thanks for reporting back.

I wonder if you were getting some cable binding from the risers?
yeah something odd is going on here...many of use run Rox Risers with no issue. A cable bind sounds like it may have been the culprit.
