I pick up my new 2014 ES this morning. Can'wait to straddle it and hit the road. I gave up an FJR which I absolutely loved, but i am sure I will like the S10 even more. I just need the best of both worlds, and have done an extensive amount of research on this bike. I spent most of my life riding dirt and gravel, and can't wait to get back to it.

Congrats!! I had a 2008 FJR and I think you will like this bike better; much more comfortable and handles better in that its easier to lean in and make transitions!! You don't have the FJR power but u have the other good stuff. I think think the bike is power enough, especially in Sport mode! Hell you can beat any car on the road so thats what is important to me, 0-60 in < 3.5 seconds!!

I also recently sold a 2006 FJR1300A that was our 2-up bike. I also just took delivery of an ES a few days ago. I have to state IMHO that the S10, except for power, is superior to the FJR. The seat distance between rider and passenger is more spacious. The seating position is also more comfortable. Although I do not have many miles on the S10 yet, I am quite pleased with it.

Looking forward to hearing your experiences with the S10ES.
