Generation II ECU Software Flash

I called my local mechanic and he said he has never even hard of Generation II flash. He has heard of Generation I but their shop does not do flushes. What does it involve? I thought doing the flush might be more practical than installing a power commander which here is about 1300$ without labour.

Re: Generation II Flush

I've never heard of gen 1 or gen 2 flushes, tell us more.
Gen 2 flash is the ticket though. See Ed @ AF1 Racing in New Braunfels,TX

:D I thought, what is this new "flush"??? Does it dump the ECU programming all together and leave us with a KLR?

If you know anything about the ECU software flash, you will have read about Gen 1 and Gen II, now instead of poking fun and rendering unhelpful remarks why not simply start your own thread where you can poke fun.

Mzee, some mis-spellings come out humorour and like the others, I believe that you mean flash, not flush.

The Gen2 bikes apparently had a production change in how the ECUs are made, so there are at least two versions. Look for threads by AVC8130 and others, or write directly to Tony (AVC8130).

Easy man, just joking about the spelling of the word "flash". I figured you would notice and see the humor in it.

Yes, I do know about the Gen II flash, I have it. Like mentioned above, see Ed at AF1 Racing, or AVC8130 on this site, he does ECU flashes as well, and for cheaper.

Re: Generation II ECU Software Flush

Guys, if anyone has Ed's contact info at AF1 for Mzee, please post it up. Then again, it's a long way to send an ECU, hopefully his local mechanic can talk to Ed or the guys at ECU Unleashed....

Here is Ed's info. Mzee, just to clarify, are you asking about a Gen 2 flash for 1st gen bike or flash for a 2nd gen bike?

My apologies to everyone. Yes the spelling was wrong I must admit. I have the first edition S10, but assumed that Gen II was an upgrade of Gen I.

Thank you all for being patient with me. I am humbled.
