I'm SuperCruise from AdvRider and only recently found this site. I own a 2010 Super Tenere, which I've had for just over two years and 38,000kms. Biggest trip so far was around Australia. Not much dirt usage on my bike to date, but aim to change that in the near future now that my bike is (well) broken in.

Next planned adventure is around Tasmania for two weeks with my wife on the back. I also want to go out to Cameron Corner (border of NSW, SA and QLD) one day, but am waiting for my son to get a more dirt-worthy bike (currently a GSX650F).

Farkles list is fairly short being: Motorrad Garage adjustable windshield bracket ::008::, Rostra cruise control ::001::, Remus hexacone exhaust 8), Clutch switch shorting switch ::26::, Oxford heated grips with Jaycar kit controller ::008::, GiPro gear position indicator ::008::, Yamaha crash bars :), Ebay heated passenger grab handles ;D, Yamaha top/side luggage and Yamaha bash plate.

Edit: forgot to include the gear position indicator

G' Day SuperCruise from Australia, and Welcome On. You're an old timer here as far as ownership goes. But we're a happy bunch now that we all have our Teneres. Glad you found the Forum. Keep the pics coming. ::004:: R. ::022::

Hey from Tassie, let us know when your coming and we can catch up for a ride. Make sure you do the west coast, some awesome rides. The boat gets pretty rough this time of year but the staff will strap your bike down nice and tight. Sing out if you need any help sorting out your ride.
Cheers

I'd like to meet up and yes, the west coast will be on our itinerary. We're planning on going in Feb, March so it's warm and not in school holidays. We're really looking forward to it!

Welcome fellow Newb, ::004::

Look'n good, man. After 38,000 km, what's your impression of the good :) the bad :mad: and the ugly >:D of a fellow SuperTen?
The good is that it is the best bike I've ever owned and is an excellent all rounder, including two-up riding. It really proved itself as a long distance tourer when I went some 24,000 kms around Australia. I'm looking forward to trying out its dirt road capabilities when the weather warms up a bit.

The bad is not much at all. Up until a month ago, the flat mid-range power in S mode was a bad, but the recently-discovered clutch switch short mod put a fix to that. The only other issue is that despite its low CofG, the sheer weight of the bike can be a bit of a struggle to maneuver without engine power. That's pretty minor though.

The ugly is that I dropped it once when fully loaded up on bitumen. Fortunately the crash guards did their job and the only things receiving minor scratches were one side case, the crash guard (easily repainted) and one hand guard. My pride was hurt the most :-[

That's about it really!

Hey SuperCruise!

Good to see you made it over here from ADV. Lots of good stuff on this forum... ::004::

I'm jealous of your upcoming trip to Tassie! The missus and I have done similar by 4WD in 2006. I love Tassie and would go back for another trip in an instant. Good luck and enjoy!

Cheers
Glenn
