Looks like fun. I'd rather go with the new twin setup from the FZ-07, but to each their own.

Use the triple in a mini FJR...now that would be a fun bike.

More TDM..ish to me. Owned a TDM 9er for the last 3 years before I swapped out for the big Tenere... Never understood why they didn't develop it more eventually seizing production in 2010 as they did. Absolutely under the radar, under rated (by the bloody press again) bike. Fairly light, agile, 130 odd mph, 60 odd mpg and comfy as couch it was. Sounded wonderful with MTC cans... Testrode the new triple in the MT09 (FZ over here I think) and whilst good, still would of preferred a twin option for the next middle weight dual sport tour thingy. Quite like the looks of the new machine though and hope it fairs better with the media than the good old TDM did...

Ditto, more TDM... Which is fine, but its not an "Adventure" bike in my book... Looks good but they already have a UJM n the FZ line. Doesn't seem to make sense...

Ya never know, they might save the new twin for something a bit more "Adventure" based... Sure to be more to come from Yam with there new engines, I would of thought/hoped... Not that it matters to me as no plan on going back to a 'dinky' middleweight anytime soon being so at home on the lardy one..! :)

I have as much inside knowledge as anybody outside of Yamaha and so I say that it is just as likely to look like this:

Pretty revolutionary, huh?

I've seen that before, over on ADV...not an official Yamaha rendering, purely unofficial. Not an ADV or Tenere concept either, is a speculative rendering sourced from a Japanese magazine about the upcoming FJ-09 sport tourer. Cycle World fail.

It seems to me that Yamaha is very careful about launching new models. I don't think they can afford to make a mistake. Honda and BMW are always launching new (but not always good) models.

We will see the 850 and the 700 in other configurations, but when?
